Autumn Greetings!

Owl favor box instant download printable
Hello, it's autumn here. Cooler days and nights, autumn festivals, holidays, and parties to look forward to. So far we've attended a fair, and visited our favorite pumpkin patch. It's inspired me to create some festive party favors! Above is my Owl favor box.

Aboriginal Australian Matryoshka

Aboriginal Australian Matryoshka

Hello friends! This is my latest work an Aboriginal Australian Matryoshka! She was such fun to draw I hope you like the finished product! Prints in a variety of sizes and a downloadable coloring sheet are now available in my Etsy shop and postage stamps, postcards, note cards and tote bags are available in my zazzle shop.

I've also been busy coming up with fall designs for my spoonflower shop. Two of the collections are Owl and Oak Night and Owl and Oak Day.

This summer I saw the new film version of Far from the Madding Crowd and then read the book by Thomas Hardy. They inspired me to draw this design, Shepherd, also available in my spoonflower shop.

If you have a suggestion of a culture you would like me to draw in a matryoshka shape or a type of design you would like me to offer in my spoonflower shop please leave a comment on my blog or on one of my social media accounts.

Hello Autumn!

Today is the first day of autumn here (I live in North Carolina in the US). I love autumn. The summer was so hot and humid. I love the cooler weather, and the long shadows while playing outside on a late September afternoon. Our autumn leaves don't peak until mid to late October but the anticipation of their magnificent colors, and picking out pumpkins to decorate our front porch and carve as jack-o'-lanterns, is exciting! I am wishing you a beautiful September, where you are, what ever the season. OvO
Above are some of my creations to help celebrate the coming of autumn.

Autumn Aqua Treasury

This is a treasury, a tribute to some artists that I love and admire. It was inspired by Voideville's "Lyric" that I recently bought an ACEO of. Also included is Plasticpumpkin's "Goldfish at Sunset". I own a beautiful "Pink Peony" watercolor painting by plasticpumpkin. Opalpoems is another wonderful artist. I have a collection of what I refer to as "Blue Women". Really there is allot of blue and orange in the collection. Another one of Opalpoems' "Lady Portraits" grace the collection. MGMart's flowering, hair adornments and jewelry are so beautiful and I enjoy following her on Twitter too. I admire all the artist/sellers showcased in this treasury!

Hello! I have continued to work on my baby babushka. I'm not sure if she is finished yet or not. I will step away from it for a day or two and see. :)

Boo! Halloween Sneak Peek!

Here is a sneak peek at my latest Little Red Riding Hood illustration. I'm finding the color combination to be very inspiring. . . the deep blue night sky. . . the autumn leaves.  I think I need to draw some more Autumn/Halloween illustrations. Maybe an Owl!!! :)
