Hello! Hope you and your loved ones are well or on the mend. Thought we could all use some bright happy colors and a reminder to look out the window and enjoy nature. It's springtime where I am and in honor of the spring and new beginnings I thought I would do something different, something new. So I've started a series of drawings inspired by the seasons. This first one and all of them will be 8.5"x11" layouts and available as a printable file to instantly download and print yourself. "Spring Elena" is now available in my Etsy shop and my dot com at a considerably lower price than my prints. I'm able to do this because I won't be incurring the printing costs or the shipping fees (since I have always offered free shipping). Also, I have temporarily removed my prints from my shop. I will relist them once social distancing measures are no longer needed.

New- "Holly 21st Century" American Woman Series Matryoshka

"Holly 21st Century" is the first in my new series of American Women Matryoshka! Holly is a beautiful, bright, American woman who embodies the handmade movement of today. I was inspired by the real Holly Embry of HollyRocks (also HollyRocksJewelry.blogspot.com). We have become friends though Etsy and our blogs. She has a generous and kind spirit that resonates through everything she does and all her interactions. With a degree in education, she shares her entrepreneurial knowledge with others by teaching a class about how to start an Etsy shop at a local community college. Holly was kind enough to allow me to draw her portrait as my 21st Century American Woman. Thank you Holly and bravo! (The link to the close up portait is here.)

New- Peruvian and Portuguese Close-Up Matryoshka Portraits!

I always think of these two girls (Peruvian and Portuguese) as friends, neighbors, even though their countries of origin are far away. I drew them together with my Tibetan Matryoshka because I was intrigued by how similar the use of colors, embroidery, layering of clothing, is in all three cultures. The Tibetan girl rounds out the 3 musketeers. I just didn't include her here because I posted her Close-up Portrait last night. :)

Fox Girl

Hi! My hubby has been bugging me to put some of my older illustrations for sale in my shop. So, this morning I went through some older work and came across this one. It really makes since to offer it because the "Tiger Girl" print is available in my shop already.
