Sneak Peek - India Inspired Doll

This is a sneak peek at my latest drawing an India inspired nesting doll. This is part of a series including the HanFu and Tuareg dolls. Each in this series uses one main color for their clothing and white. This series as well as the first series (which included Peruvian, Portuguese and Tibetan dolls) all use some of the same design motifs— a flower, leaves, and swirls, as unifying factors. What differentiates between the series is the way color is used. I have really enjoyed drawing these dolls!

Next will come a second series of toy animals to go with each of these dolls. I am offering the doll and animal drawings to an online store that is opening early next year. They will be selling my drawings as limited addition prints available in an array of sizes. I'll keep you posted on the progress. Wish me luck! :)

I love these last two illos Amy. Well, I love them all, but the face on this one is particularly beautiful. And the glimpse of henna on her arm... and the red forehead spot! You are the Queen of perfect details :-)

Great work! I love your new twist on what is otherwise becoming a too-common theme.
